Xanatos

The hero; almost. He’s a boy, he’s nearly eighteen though he’s purposefully forgotten his own birthday, and he’s also kind of a demon. Around 5’11”, but nicely proportioned, like a statue from Michelangelo; he wouldn’t know who that is. His eyes and hair are dark, almost like they’re being made that way from the inside. The color isn’t quite right, just a bit off from normal. He’s cocky and arrogant, but has this softer side that can come out now and again. Easy going until you push one of his buttons; he’s got more than strictly necessary. Behind it all, he’s got a heart, and if we’re all lucky, he just might find it.

Lex

Alexis is a fire mage, though there haven’t been any like her before. Most mages are hidden away, coming out only when strictly necessary. But Lex is out there, saving Xanatos from himself and complaining about it along the way. She is strikingly beautiful, with fiery red hair, and deep green eyes. She’s about as tall as Xanatos, but he’ll make sure to wear boots or something to push him just a bit taller than her. Exceptional in almost every way, she’s also horribly naive. It’s like she missed all the normal parts of growing up, and now she’s going through adolescence at a break neck pace. It’s made her cautious and scared of what Xanatos represents. However, the main difference between them is her ingrained sense of justice, of right and wrong. She just can’t accept his self-centered relativism.

Alec (some spoilers)

A mystery. He’s an empath yes, but how? The fact that he escaped a place like Xaphan’s temple is amazing, yet he seems almost weak and unable to cope with what has happened to him. Then there’s this spark to him, this kind of fourteen year-old, I can take on the world strength that propels him to train and to push those around him to do what he knows is right, is necessary. The truth, he’s overcoming years of torture and abuse which cause him to latch onto things in order to make some sense of what’s happening. Xanatos is one of those things, and in him Alec sees something different, something amazing; but also something that will protect him, even though he couldn’t explain why.

The Paladin (Sean)

Church knight are called Paladins. He is their leader, or rather, their guide. Like a guru he directs them, shows them the paths that need to be walked, and handles disputes that arise. But the Church empowers all of them to act independently and in an expedient nature. He bears the title because he rose to be the greatest, the most well respected of all of them. What’s odd is that Xanatos thought he knew him, and now, well he’s just not the same authoritarian figure that haunted his childhood. What came over him, and why he seems to care when the last time they met he kicked Xanatos out of the gravity lift and into nothingness, are two questions that confound Xanatos for the moment.
